Key Finding 3:

Most Users Desire Adaptive Support Based on Mindset and Context

When asked whether they would prefer different types of support when exploring AI tools depending on their mindset or time constraints (Q8), a clear preference emerged across both multi-tool and single-tool user groups.

Among multi-tool users, 17 out of 30 (56.7%) indicated that they would like different support paths when they are tired, curious, or rushed. Another 11 respondents (36.7%) selected “Maybe,” suggesting they are open to the idea but unsure how it might be implemented. Only 2 participants expressed uncertainty or a preference for a consistent experience.

Similarly, single-tool users showed strong interest in adaptive support, with 19 out of 34 (55.9%) selecting “Yes” and 13 (38.2%) responding “Maybe.” As with the multi-tool group, only 2 individuals preferred a static or consistent approach.

By contrast, among the non-AI user group, none selected “Yes.” Most responded “Maybe” or “Not sure,” reinforcing the idea that active AI users are more aware of their shifting needs and more likely to seek contextual guidance.

Overall, this finding points to a strong desire among active AI users for flexible, mindset-sensitive experiences. The preference is consistent across both exploratory and habitual user types, suggesting that adaptability in guidance may enhance user satisfaction and engagement across the board.
